Yearly Open Workshop III.

On 8th February the Human stem cell research and animal models for therapeutic cloning workshop was held with the financial support of the EU. (FP7 PartnErS IAPP project + SEA-EU Net project).
The venue of the event was the Faculty of Medicine, at Chulalongkorn University.
100 people registered to the conference, the final number of attendees was 84.
13 speakers (6 Thai, 3 Hungarian, 1 Danish, 1 Malaysian, 1 Indonesian, 1 British) were talking about the existing good collaboration between Hungary and Thailand, and UK-Thailand, stem cell research and animal models in therapeutic cloning. Further presenters introduced the possibilities of scientific cooperation between South-East Asia and Europe supported by the European Commission.
The success of the event was clearly proved during the Panel discussion as well when the attendees expressed their interest on future collaboration by asking about the possibilities the representatives of SEA-EU NET project (Bela Kardon, Ágota-Laczo David), Prof Andras Dinnyes Hungarian and Dr. Ruttachuk Rungsiwiwut Thai co-operators.
